Building Bridges to South Korea and Japan

BlueOptima was delighted to be a part of the DIT’s Mega Tech Trade Mission to South Korea and Japan.

David Gorton, COO (left), and Thomas Hunter, Senior Data Scientist, joined representatives of 40 companies across the wider UK tech industry. The programme run by UK Government Department of International Trade (DIT) presented a highly valuable opportunity to meet delegates from large enterprises based in the two countries. DIT created a trade fair style environment in Seoul to facilitate meeting many relevant organisations that would benefit by cost-optimising their software development through BlueOptima’s offerings. In Tokyo we were pleased to attend a networking reception at the Ambassador's Residence of the UK Embassy followed by two days of meetings hosted by DIT.

BlueOptima already works with many of the world’s largest companies, our presence in London and New York supports our relationships with clients based in EMEA and Americas respectively. This was the first visit to South Korea and the Trade Mission provided the opportunity to meet key people and rapidly initiate new business relationships that we are progressing with relish. Our visit to Japan served to further our growing relationships with Japanese companies met during our trip to Tokyo in January 2017 as well as introducing our technology to other Japanese enterprises.
